Wow, what a weekend of sailing!
First off, thanks to all of you who made sure the ice was safe enough for everyone to enjoy. Without your ice checks and close-eye on the Bay, this weekend would not have been possible. Thank you!
Saturday was sunny and with some breeze in the morning out of the North. But as the afternoon went on, the wind calmed down and the clouds stayed away to make for a gorgeous afternoon of sailing. Many DN’s were sailing around and practicing throughout the day. 15 Meters and Sweet 16’s were also spotted around the Bay. And just as sails were coming down on boats, a full, bright red moon rose over the ice.
Sunday continued the beautiful weekend of sailing. This time the wind was from SSW and had a similar wind speed peak and fall as the previous day. On both days, boats could be seen sailing till dusk.
